REGENCY MAHOGANY TWIN PILLAR DINING TABLE AND SET OF EIGHT MAHOGANY DINING CHAIRS (6+2), the TABLE of typical form with brass castors to the reeded tripod supports, and a later leaf, 27 ¾” (70.5cm) high, 54” (137.2cm) wide, 53” (134.6cm) long, 76 ¾” (195cm) long, extended, the CHAIRS, each with rope twist back rail, flat fronted padded seat covered in olds gold floral fabric, and raised on turned front legs, (9)
PROVENANCE, by repute from the vendor, the table was formerly the property of Mr Windom Hale, agent for Lord Derby of Mowbreck Hall, Kirkham, and was used by the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VIII, who stayed at the Hall on 28th June 1927 whilst touring the Fylde coast. The present vendor inherited the table from Mr Hale. Supplied with three small black and white prints, framed as one, with printed note to the rear, relating to Mr & Mrs Windham, Mowbreck Hall and the Prince of Wales
