More Information

This looks to be a marriage although the marquetry is near identical, other features differ quite radically including the grain of the veneers, the handles and other stylised motifs, that said the match seems to work, overall in a well polished and rich golden toffee brown colour, upper sectin door has the original lock and an erratically working key, upper section is width 90cm height 66cm and depth 35cm. Lower section with old splits running across the top, various other rubbings and dents, brass knob handles are more ornate than those to the upper section, but the escutcheons do match, locks look original but no key present, drawers are lined in pine, both sides have vertical splits running through the veneers and what may well be later panels, seated on later pad feet.
