*Patrick Hughes [b. 1939] Venice, a moonlit canal pencil signed and limited edition numbered AP 6/7 lithograph in colours 42 x 88 x 18cm overall including perspex presentation box This lot is sold on behalf of the Spectrum charity British artist Patrick Hughes is best-known for three-dimensional pictures that play with the viewer's eye and sense of visual perception. The work presented here is an example of Hughes 'Reverspectives', an optical illusion which makes the parts of the three-dimensional surface that are physically nearest appear farthest away.
