A Chinese altar vase and cover, Dou, Qing dynasty, probably Guangxu period ( 1875 - 1908), the cover with ball finial above relief moulded ruyi head pendants and a band of leiwen, the ovoid body raised on a tall flaring foot with central knop, relief moulded to the exterior with stylised geometric designs, 26cm, with pierced and carved wood stand (Qty: 3)

The cover with small glaze frits to the leiwen band, otherwise in good condition with no obvious faults. The base has a small restored rim chip from which issues an inverted 'T' shaped hair line crack, approx 4cm in height and 6cm wide, the lower sectrion of the crack curving upwards ( see online images). Rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The wood stand with small losses and some repairs.
