A TWO CLASP EGYPT PAIR TO THE ROYAL MARINES LIGHT INFANTRY. An Egypt Medal 1882-89 with undated reverse, with Suakin 1885 and Tofrek clasps, named to C.W. Martin Sergt R.M.L.I., and Khedive's Star, unnamed as issued.
Charles W. Heaton served with the Portsmouth Battalion with an extensive service record from September 1876 to November 1886. His record (copy included) confirms the two clasps to the medal and tracks his career from Private to Sergeant and apparently back to Private during which time his character which is originally Exemplary descends to Good. *CR New ribbon to Egypt medal and slight dent to clasp. Otherwise good examples.
