A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO TO A GALLIPOLI CASUALTY FROM THE WORCESTERSHIRE REGIMENT. A Trio comprising 1914-15 Star named to 10728 Pte E.C. Smith Worc. R. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. Ernest Charles Smith was born in 1884, from Brewood in Staffordshire he was killed in Action on the 6th August 1915 whilst serving with the 4th Battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment at Gallipoli. He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial in Turkey. He was 31 years old. Mounted for display.
