A WWI family group to three brothers, comprising: Pair: BWM, Victory (SD 2667 Pte V G Duke, R Suss. R), VF and NEF, with I.D. disc and Memorial plaque (Victor George Duke, 11th Bn, killed in action, BEF, 30th June 1916 aged 19), with photo of grave; Pair: BWM, Victory (3085 Pte F. Duke Sussex Yeo) NEF and Memorial plaque (Frank Duke, served as 30185 Sussex Yeo, 21617 Queens Regt and 31065 6th Bn K.O.S.B. Frank Duke died of Pleurisy and Pneumonia 5th November 1918 in the hospital Langensalza, Germany having been taken as a Prisoner of War following action at Kemmel 25th April 1918, he was also 19 at the time of his death); a single BWM (265436 Pte A E Duke R Suss R) VF with BWM transmittal slip and named New Testament. Also included in lot: 2 empty Princess Mary Christmas 1914 gift tins; 2 lockets marked Rolled Gold (each bearing 2 photos, of unidentified sailor and soldier); a photo of trooper on horseback, believed Sussex Yeo; another unidentified soldier of the Sussex Regt; photo and demobilization certificate for Alfred Ernest Duke 2/6th R Sussex Regt; a number of photos from Alfred taken during his service in India; and several other family photos, largely unidentified.
