A fine quality Regency period ebonised and mahogany Bureau Abbatant, the moulded top over a drop down door opening to reveal a fitted interior assimilating an arch, the sides flanked by square tapering columns surmounted by brass sphinx heads, and terminating on square tapering legs, approx. 160cms (63'') high, 102cms (40'') wide. Scratches and marks to external sides and front.
Marks and chip with loss to fold down desk top.
One of the locks to bottom shelves is broken with loss.
Depth of bureau is 51cm (20").
