An opposing pair of oak-backed bronze portrait plaques of classical gods; the plaques cast after models by Edmund Louis Charles Tassel, each plaque cast in relief with a profile portrait of a young man, the first modelled after Mercury wearing a winged helmet and breastplate, and cast with a bearded mask and wings, the second of Perseus wearing a helmet surrounded by twin hippocampi and a laurel crown, his scale cast breastplate decorated with the head of Medusa (unmarked) (plaque sizes 49cm x 34.75cm)
