Madrid, (signed and dated); Back and sides: Indian rosewood; Top: natural spruce; Neck: cedar; Fretboard: ebony; Frets: nickel; Hardware: engraved plated tuners with oval buttons; Nut width: 52mm; Scale length: 650mm; Case: original hard case
*From The Granary Collection.
The workshop of the famous guitar maker Domingo Esteso was carried on by his widow and nephews after he died in 1937. They proclaimed this continuation on the label and worked out of the same workshop and this a fine early example of a classical guitar.
Condition notes: minor rippling to the top behind bridge. Small hairlines to either side of the fretboard would suggest a possible neck reset at some stage. Evidence of refinishing. Some light marks and dings around, as expected for a used guitar of this age. Otherwise, appearing in good condition.
