Railway. Preserved Steam and Modern traction. A large collection of approx. 730 x 35mm, colour slides, mainly on Agfa film stock. The collection is housed in pvc protective wallets. The slides were taken by the late Christopher John Yapp of Leeds in 1985 and appear to be whole films, as such they do include some non-railway subjects. We will be selling other slides from the collection in future auctions. Overall quality is good, however, most of the slides have taken on the all too familiar blue hue (thanks Agfa!). The slides feature a variety of transport subjects, including: preserved steam on heritage lines as well as on railtour specials, modern traction with some Deltics on specials, Isle of Man railways, one or two buses and some boat slides. Locations noted: Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, Exeter St Davids, Hemerden Bank, Severn Valley Railway, Didcot Railway Centre, Castle Donington Power Station, West Highland Line, Midland Railway Centre, Settle & Carlisle etc. The slides come with a comprehensive caption list, all the slides are numbered to coincide with the captions. Copyright will pass to the buyer. Sample illustrated.
