A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912) RED LACQUER SAKE CUP. Of circular shallow form, decorated in gilding, black and brown with a spray of rooted iris and an open fan, the underside with gilt three character mark, 9.7cm diam.
Crack to rim which is approx. 2cm long, some minor surface wear to lacquer.
