A pair of 19th century garnet set drop earrings, designed as a concentric circle of fourteen collet set garnets suspending a pear shaped drop also set with eighteen garnets, all in a foiled, closed back yellow metal settings, with later hoop fittings, 4.8cm long, 6.5gms (2)
Light surface scratching to the stones and metal and noticeable tarnishing throughout, both earrings could do with a clean, later hoop fittings, the suspended drop also appears to be a later addition, the bar to the top of its pear shape possible evidence that it was suspending a drop, chips and nibbles to several of the stones.
