A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD BRONZE & MIXED METAL LIDDED KORO - OTAFUKU - the body of the koro inlaid with silver and mixed metals to depict scenes of birds in flight amongst native flora, the cover with a large okimono of Otafuku in an elegant leaning pose in traditional robes, the cover with open work and on laid snail and insect decoration, with an open work section for vent, with twin handles and three chilong style figures to the side, stood upon three inlaid feet, 50cm high x 27cm wide.
