A smokebox numberplate, 44096, from a LMS Class 4F 0-6-0 No 4096 built by Kerr Stuart, Works No 4346, in 1925, becoming BR 44096. It spent many years at Bath (Green Park) working over Somerset and Dorset tracks, before moving to Bury in 1960, then to Gorton from where it was withdrawn in October 1964 and sold for scrap to Cohens at Ickles Rotherham.
