The Jeep CJ-7 featured a wheelbase 10 inches longer than that of the CJ-5, and the side entry cutouts were changed to a shape that would accommodate actual doors. The chassis now consisted of two parallel longitudinal main c-section rails. To help improve vehicle handling and stability, the rear section of the chassis stepped out to allow the springs and shock absorbers to be mounted closer to the outside of the body. It was introduced in for the 1976 model year, with 379,299 built during 11 years of production.

The CJ-7 featured an optional new automatic all-wheel drive system called Quadra-Trac, and an automatic transmission, a molded hardtop, and steel doors were available. The CJ-7 was also available in Renegade and Laredo models. The CJ-7 continues to be used in the sport of mud racing, and for rock crawling, through simple and complex modification. These last Jeeps produced were also highlighted with a factory dash plaque that read, "Last of a Great Breed - This collectors edition CJ ends an era that began with the legendary Jeep of World War II".

The vendor tells us that this Jeep CJ7 was ordered in the last year of production through Holwes Motor Jeep Dealership. It is a factory right hand drive with a Special Order 304 engine, floor automatic, and with 2 and 4 wheel drive for road use. Garnet Red paintwork and a high back interior in excellent condition with no rips or tears. It boasts the Full Renegade Package, decals and wheels etc. The last owner owned the jeep for over 25 years, and it comes with a Factory Hardtop.
