The Jensen Interceptor is a sporting GT-class car that was hand-built at the Kelvin Way Factory in West Bromwich between 1966 and 1976. Jensen had extensively used glass-reinforced plastic for the fabrication of body panels in the preceding two decades, but the new Interceptor saw a return to a steel body-shell. The body was designed by an outside firm, Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, rather than the in-house staff. The early bodies were built in Italy by Vignale, before Jensen took production in house, making some subtle body modifications. Jensen used Chrysler V8 engines to power the Interceptor connected to the super smooth Torqueflite automatic gearbox and a limited slip differential.

No previous history to be found, vehicle has been off road for many years prior to restoration. The DVLA MoT history contains no record until this current MoT which indicates that it has been unused for many years. This Jensen Interceptor Mk 1 has just completed a very extensive restoration of 13.5 months. Michael Ware Restorers of Brooke, Norfolk, completed this long restoration eight weeks ago.

Finished in Gun Metal Gray, Bare Metal, full repaint (£3500), with new Oxblood vinyl roof, new Oxblood Full Leather, New Carpet’s trimmed in Oxblood to match and new Head Lining (£4700). Rebuilt calipers, ball joint and refurbished wheels. The engine & gearbox has had a Full Service. Carbs rebuilt/setup & tuned. Benefits from a new braking system. Fuel tank and system has been completely cleaned. Much of the electrical systems have been serviced/replaced/rewired. It has been fitted with a good quality 1960's reproduction radio which is FM and Bluetooth compatible. The file includes many invoices from 2010 and 2011, and the 2016 Restoration. Extensive restoration with detailed invoice list, drives superbly.
