A Worcester chestnut basket, c. 1775, the sides pierced in a pattern of intersecting circles, applied with florets on the outside and rope twist handles, decorated in the 'Earl Manvers' pattern comprising festoons of berried leaves, the base with alternating pink diaper and leaf panels, the centre with a fruit spray, the puce florets in pink and green, 18cm W, 24cm D, 6cm H, with a further English porcelain basket, painted with polychrome floral motifs within a circular interlaced gallery with florets mounted to the exterior, 9cm H x 21cm (restored) (2)

More Information

Several minor firing cracks to the Worcester basket, very light rubbing to the painted detail and twist handles.
Second basket has been restored with extensive discolouration to the outside of the basket, with firing pits and frits to the interior with rubbing to the painted detail.
