A smokebox numberplate, 57591, from a Caledonian Railway 812 Class 0-6-0 No 853 built by Sharp Stewart, Works No 4638, in August 1900, becoming LMS 17591 and BR 57591. It was at Dundee West by January 1935 and later Perth, Ayr, Forres, Inverness, Kittybrewster, Keith, Aviemore and Dalry Road from where it was withdrawn on 20 June 1961 and cut up at Heatheryknowe by BR C&W staff. The front of the plate has been repainted. (Postage Band: D)
