14th (Bucks.) Foot 2nd Battalion Officer’s mess china Tureen. A rare late 19th Century three piece tureen. The white china with turquoise and gilt line edging. All three pieces the lid, body and plate are decorated with a transfer of the Regimental device a Crowned Motto strap, with a running horse and XIV to the centre and 2nd Batt.. The body retains original handles. The factory mark is Falcon Glass Works. The tureen now with some damage, the finial to the lid is absent with chip to the underside of the lid. The body with hairline crack. Remains a good and impressive display item.
