1892 hand signed (at Balmoral) photograph of Queen Victoria in a red leather case (39cm x 26cm & a/f) presented to Kate Marsden on 21-Oct-1892 ~ Kate Marsden (1859-1931) was a missionary / explorer / writer & nurse who was supported by Queen Victoria in her investigation into a cure for leprosy & in 1892 became a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society ~ this signed photograph of 'Her Imperial Majesty the Queen' appears as the frontispiece in Kate's book 'On sledge & horseback to outcast Siberian lepers'
