A pair of 19th Century Minton & Co 8 inch dust pressed tiles circa 1870, each transfer printed and painted with botanical, insect and fish studies over the white glazed ground, the reverse transfer printed with a mark for W.S. Coleman with a swallow resting on ribbon scrolls, together with a similar example with a Magnolia and butterfly and a further period example by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, transfer printed with bumblebees and mushrooms against a sunrise. There are some chips and nibbles to margins and corners and age related crazing visible to the Wedgwood example
