Reverse: crowned cruciform shields of royal arms around a central lion with the date (1696) above, divided, and '· MAG · BR · FRA · ET · HIB REX ·' around. Edge: raised lettering which reads, '+ + + · DECVS · ET · TVTAMEN · ANNO · REGNI · OCTAVO ·'. Weight: 29.18g. Diameter: 39mm. Grade: FR - some very minor edge knocks and an uneven obverse tone, peripheral weakness with the centre; Fair and scarce.
