Relined canvas. Signature clear bottom left. Small patched hole in his beard on the left. Frame is contemporary or near contemporary and has been repainted gilt. Both the painting and the frame are yellow through nicotine. Scratch to the mount beneath the signature revealing the original gilt beneath. Size is for picture only.
