An antique Royal Naval Volunteers officer's sword with scabbard and knot. Scarce Royal Naval Volunteers (R.N.V) Officer’s Sword by J R Gaunt & Sons No. 2318, straight blade 31.5” etched with crowned Royal Arms and fouled anchor with fruiting oak, ropes, regulation brass hilt with folding side guard, lion’s head pommel, wire bound white fish skin grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard. Good condition.
