MARITIME/HARLAND AND WOLFF: 19th century oak campaign chest of two short and three long drawers unusually in one section as opposed to two, marked to the reverse with yard number 289 denoting the ship Scotsman. This steel steam passenger ship was built in Belfast by Harland and Wolff on 13th December 1894 for Richard Mills and Company for the Dominion Line. and travelled at an average speed of 13 knots. Her weight was 1,710grt and her dimensions 143.5m. x 15m. x 9.7m. She was wrecked in the Belle Isle Straits, Canada in 1899 with the loss of 13 lives. 37ins. x 21ins. x 26ins.
