A 1798 PATTERN HIGHLAND INFANTRY OFFICER'S BROADSWORD with 33 5/8" blade, brass basket hilt with unpierced panels, ribbed wood grip and pommel etched with a cross, 39 1/4" long (Illustrated) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
Blade pitted in places and with rounded tip. Also has very slight curve to tip. Later decorative fabric lining to hilt (removed with ease). See images. Some minor warping to basket, one small bar missing to side of quillon.
