A GERMAN FAIENCE STEIN, mid 18th century, of plain cylindrical form painted in colours with a central female figure in landscape, holding aloft a palm frond, with two bowing figures at her feet, the pewter mount with hinged cover engraved "CDPT 1747", with high spherical thumbpiece, 10" high (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)
Handle appears to be ok, pewter is damaged with some glue repairs around thumbpiece, it would appear that the strap and cover have been added over the original pewter rim. Bears old label to base ?Sammlung G.Ad. Lippe Hannover?(sic)
