The Little Mermaid: A unique handmade lace fan leaf created by Ann Collier, 20th century, the leaf worked in a mix of bobbin and needle lace, showing a tropical ocean scene in bobbin lace with mermaids in the sea, one adult to the left, three, younger, to the right, contemplating the approach of a galleon, worked in needle lace, backed in blue cotton, initials AC applied to the top left corner, AC written in ink on the lower guard, mounted on Edwardian gilded bone sticks, contained in a card fan box with gold embossed lid, guard length approx. 21.5 cm
