WW1 Lothian & Border Horse Other Rank’s Trench Cap.
An unusual early Great War variation of the trench cap. This example with stiff peak and floppy upper section. Complete with regimental cap badge, General Service buttons and thin brown leather chinstrap. The interior with oil cloth sweatband and blue cotton lining. Overall GC some storage wear.
This example is possible a regimental local purchase of equipment common in the early stages of the Great War by Yeomanry and Territorial units.
