1840 (Dec. 31) Printed entire letter announcing the liquidation of a business partnership, and the formation of a new firm with two of the previous three partners, posted from London to Hathersage near Sheffield, bearing a 1d black GD plate 5 with four large even margins cancelled by a red Maltese Cross, London datestamp on reverse, unusually also backstamped with a second Maltese Cross in red, very fine.
