A late 18th or early 19th century Balkan Miquelet flintlock pistol, the rat tail butt in sheet brass with pierced brass and tack decoration to grip, steel trigger guard, steel Miquelet lock and hexagonal to round barrel, engraved metal to stock , overall length 54cm.
*Frizzen, lock and trigger loose in mounts, tightening results in Miquelet sticking, ram is 5 inch piece of metal - not unusual in Balkan Rat-Tail pistols, the butt-plate is loose and the brass has split where it extends up the grip, also some loses to brass on one side between butt-plate and mechanism.
