ROLEX OYSTER - A 1930's 9ct gold cushion cased gentleman's manual wind wristwatch. The signed 23mm cream dial with gilt Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, screw-down crown winder and screw-on back (not accessed), wire lugs, stamped with Rolex crown, serial no. 39796, ref 2941, case width 33mm, the case back with engraved dedication dated 27-3-32.
Winds and runs, and seems to run continuously. The crown adjusts the hands. Two turns of engagement to screw into the case. The gold finish is coming off the Rolex Oyster crown, mainly on the back where it has been worn against the wrist. The wire lugs are misshapen and slightly thinning. The case back has a line dent. Some scratches on the back including one larger edge scratch. The case front has some scratches but nothing major and no dents. This can be posted.
