A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE LIVERPOOL REGIMENT. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 88738 Pte R.G. JACKMAN L'POOL R. Robert George Jackman was the son of James and Emma Jackman of Colchester, born in Colchester around 1881 he was husband to Hannah of 169 Bergholt Road Colchester. He served with the 12th Battalion of the King's (Liverpool Regiment), he is also recorded as 5460 with the Durham Light Infantry. He died on the 30th November 1917 at the age of 36. He is buried at the Honnechy British Cemetery south east of Cambrai, his headstone reads 'Bright is their glory now'. *CR Normal surface wear to medals. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
