Boer War - Two single campaign medals, comprising Queen's South Africa Medal, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal and South Africa 1901 [8146 PTE. F. SMEETH. A.S.C] and King's South Africa Medal, 2 clasps, South Africa 1901 and 1902 [9217 DVR. E. WILTON A.S.C". (2) Both confirmed on medal rolls. Not much can be found on Smeeth but Wilton served with 18 Company, ASC; 38 Battery RFA and also attached to 44 Battery RFA.
