LARGE PAIR OF LIDDED JAPANESE SATSUMA VASES. Meiji period, the large pair of bottle shaped vases with slender necks, with applied masks and swags and painted with flowers and other motifs. The lids mounted with a buddha finial, and both signed to the base. 37.5cms high. ** Rims quite worn in places, and other areas of wear to the gilding including the masks and swags, general crazing to both.
