A Rare Cartier Playing Cards: A Royal Gift from Prince Aly Khan ( Aga Khan ) A Christmas Gift from 1930
Offered for sale is a truly exceptional piece of equestrian history: two packs of Cartier-boxed gold-edged playing cards, originally gifted by Prince Aly Khan to Major Charles Alan Carlos Perkins and his wife in 1930. These elegant cards feature two stallions owned by Prince Aly's father, the renowned racehorse breeder Aga Khan III.
One deck remains unopened and sealed, while the other has been unwrapped and showcases the beautiful imagery of Blenheim, a famous racehorse of the time. The cards are accompanied by their original tax wrapping and a letter detailing their provenance.
