Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood (1897-1965, only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary) - Various letters from the 1930s addressed to her son Gerald Lascelles: including March 1938 regarding a visit to Greece taking in Athens with the King's sisters; March 1934 on headed paper for Palestine hotels, Jersualem, regarding trip to Marrakech, Tangier, Gibraltar etc; January 1935 including 'Daddy returned on Friday evening and brought Sir Reginald Blomfield, the architect....'; January 1939 including 'On Wednesday at 4.15 Uncle Bertie [King George VI], Daddy etc went to Wolfreton after lunch...'; and November 1937 'On Thursday I went to Doncaster & visited Messrs Pilkington's glassworks: plate glass and vitrolite, coloured glass used for shops, bathrooms etc. Most interesting...'.
