LARGE PAIR OF JAPANESE ARITA FLOOR STANDING VASES. Meiji period, with a flared neck and scalloped rim, with large shaped panels to each side painted with Birds on branches, flowers and foliage, and with smaller panels to the neck with Birds and Insects. With character marks to the base, 67cms high. (2). *CR One vase, a large section has been broken to the rim and restored (about 4cms deep and around half the circumference), some wear to the footrim
One vase, small chip to the rim (3cms across), firing crack to the base probably from manufacture.
