A collection of ten ships in bottles made by, and a photographic record of sailor Stoker Marshall, stationed upon HMS Capetown in the 1920's, the photograph album depicting many images of ships, bands, views of various Islands and countries, diving, sporting teams, to include Rugby, Racing cutters, polo, football, etc etc, the ships in bottles were made by Stoker Marshall whilst stationed aboard H.M.S Capetown in Bermuda and onboard whilst patrolling the Atlantic and Caribbean, the ships of varying sizes and types, some with paper labels, tags or inscribed to sails, etc, to include IV mast Schooner 'Pliedes' 1855; 'April' Sea Clipper, London 1860; 'Gosport Flyer' 1895, Gosport Coal Salt Co, various other Gosport ships; Pleiades, Orient. Star Trading Co, 1876; 'H.M.S Mars' 24 gun Frigate, etc etc. Varying conditions, some fading etc, overall very good.
