A VERY FINE WALNUT SERPENTINE SHAPED LATE 19TH CENTURY DRESSING / WORK TABLE, the person that crafted this piece took a lot of time to add lovely decorative details throughout. Beginning with the support frame beneath; the stretcher, side pod supports & legs all have beautifully applied blind fretwork carved detail to them, showing foliage details throughout. The hinged top opens to reveal further fantastic workmanship. To the underside of the table top is an inset mirror but the clear winning detail in this piece is the beautifully open fretwork to the lit top cabinets on each side. Each has really lovely delicate scrolling foliage detail that is really charming. There is lots of storage in this piece, with an arrangement of compartments within. In excellent condition, well looked after. Dimensions: 63 x 42 x 72.5cm (W x D x H – closed).
