A 19th century French enamel and gilt metal writing suite, comprising a desk seal, letter knife and pen, each decorated with a reserve of summer flowers on a deep blue ground, the knife 18.5cm long, fitted case, c.1870
Generally good condition, the pen has a minor chip to the enamel near to the nib, visible with a loupe. The paper knife has signs of glue and repair to the metal join with the blade. The seal is good. Enamel generally good condition on the three pieces, only very minor dings or scratches only visible with a loupe. Not monogrammed or engraved with a name.
