A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR TO THE ROYAL ARTILLERY. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 63352 Dvr S. Stainthorpe R.A. Stephen Stainthorpe from Southwick-on-Weir served from the 28th December 1914 until the 11th February 1919. He is recorded as wounded on the 16th October 1916. In April 1918 he suffered 'Recrudescence of Malaria', at this time he had spent 2 years 6 months with the field force and was 39 years old. *CR Light surface marks, possibly original ribbons. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
