Henry Robins, British (1820 - 1892)"R.Y. (Royal Yacht) Osborne," O.O.C., depicting a steam yacht with maritime flags, on rough seas at a busy harbour (possibly Cowes, Isle of Wight), approx. 46cms x 76cms (18" x 30"), signed and dated lower right "H. Robins 1880", with inscribed gilt mount and oak frame. (1)úRY Osborne was a paddle steamer royal yacht, launched in 1870. In 1878, shortly after his marriage, Beresford was appointed her commander at the request of the Prince of Wales. He retained this post until 1881.
