Middlesex Regiment Helmet Storage Tin. An example for the 1878 Home Service Pattern Helmet retaining the original painted owners name of R.J.YOUNG MIDDLESEX REGT. Surface rust, name clear. Attributed to Captain Reginald James Young, who was appointed a Second Lieutenant of the Middlesex Regiment in 1912. He died on the 14th February 1919 and is noted as serving with the 2nd Bn.
