Dimensions: bowl: 24.5cm diameter; vase: 16cm high approx. AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY SPONGS BEAN SLICER, cast iron & wooden implement; popular at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century for slicing beans. Spong & Co, began manufacturing the slicer in the late 1800s, they became increasingly popular in the 1930s as a labour saving device in the home. 26 x 11cm.
