A SMALL IRISH SÚGÁN STOOL, with turned wooden legs united by rounded bar stretchers and a woven seat. The Súgán chair gets the name from the Irish for straw rope. Popular throughout the 18th & 19th centuries these little hand crated pieces of furniture are today seen as a symbol of Irish heritage & craftsmanship – valued for their rustic vintage charm. Dimensions: 35 x 31 x 21cm.
