Fees

A pair of late 19th/early 20th century glass lustres, of typical form, with recurrent ogee form border, gilt highlights, suspending canted circular and spear form cut glass drops, each 26.cm high overall (at fault), with a pair of pink glass vases, of inverted baluster form, with flared shaped necks, 16cm high (4) (at fault)

More Information

One lustre is missing one of its drops, but all those present have their top circular drops in place. The wiring of the circular drops needs attention. There are two parallel marks to the neck which could be cracks but may also be moulding faults. The second lustre has all its drops present, but three are missing their top circular drops. One unattached circular drop is present, which could be re-attached once wired. The wiring on the circular drops needs attention, and on three drops has been improvised with what appears to be electrical wire. The gilt details on both lustres are rubbed.
