A late 19c French carriage clock, the movement striking on a gong, and with an alarm and having a silvered lever platform escapement and strike/repeat button. The cream enamel dial has Roman numerals and an elaborate gilt filigree mask of plants on a trellis. The glazed gilt brass case has caryatid figures to the case corners and horizontal bands of decoration above and below the dial. The clock stands 21cm tall, handle raised.
The movement seems complete and clean but is reluctant to go or strike and requires some attention. the dial and glasses are in good condition. The case is complete and in good condition but the handle requires tightening.
