Kokoda. 1905 (Dec 4) 1d Postcard written from Yodda Valley to the Post Master at Samarai requesting that all mail for W. Hancock should be sent to "Yodda Valley, c/o Clunes & Clark", cancelled by large circular "ASSISTANT RESIDENT MAGISTRATE, KOKODA, N.D" with manuscript date "6/12/05", a Samarai arrival c.d.s (JA 2 06) alongside. Minor creasing, small tear at upper edge and small piece missing at lower left, closed file hole, still a fine looking example of this very scarce cancel, only used July to December 1905.
